The ‘60s Sufi Fest
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase
“each other” doesn’t make any sense.
— Rumi, Sufi Mystic
Kicking off a summer of love for Randall’s 60th

Dear friends,
I’m deeply moved to my core that so many of my favorite people are making the journey to this special place—the land my family has lovingly stewarded for over four decades, and a place that has kept us rooted and connected. It means the world to celebrate this milestone with you as I step into a new decade and bless Mirador, our newly built family home.
Turning 60 is no small thing, and as a child of the 1960s, the number holds deep meaning for me. This moment feels like an invitation to honor the era that shaped me—one defined by counterculture, consciousness, radical love, and bold paradigm shifts—while also reflecting my personal ethos: to amplify love in the world. Fittingly, the numerology of 60 itself carries themes of love, home, and spiritual evolution.
We took inspiration from a cherished memory in my life, the Sufi Festival, and in that joyful spirit, created our own “60s Sufi Fest”—a celebration that weaves together Eastern and Western traditions, nature, community, music, and love.
My deepest wish is that this weekend brings us into deeper joy and connection—to share belly-aching laughter, spirited dance parties, meaningful conversations, and memories we’ll carry with us for years to come.
With love,
Dear Friends,

Why Sufi Fest?
Why Sufi Fest?
A few years ago, Randall was invited by his friend Ping to a gathering called Sufi Fest in February of 2018—a turning point that became a powerful catalyst for magic to enter his life. During this global celebration of sacred music, musicians from around the world came together in harmony to share peace, art, and connection through devotion.
For Randall, it opened the door to a deeply connected, global community of artists and dreamers. It led to unexpected adventures—including a journey to Antarctica, where he met his soulmate—and brought many of his most cherished relationships into his life. It was also a moment of deeper self-discovery.
Sufi Fest was more than an event—it was a portal. A celebration of spirit, music, and love that united conscious creators and seekers from all walks of life. Diverse, soulful, joyful, and transformative.
As we envisioned this new gathering, the spirit of Sufi Fest came full circle. Randall’s lifelong inquiry—how can I amplify love most in this lifetime?—felt deeply illuminated by this moment. And so, out on the ranch, we’ll host our own version: a celebration of Randall, of radical love, of new beginnings, of human creation and of a more connected world.

Friday Night:
Sufi Fest
A lighter color palette has been requested for this evening- cream, sand, soft whites, and more. Flowing, breathable fabrics that let you move, dance, and feel alive—this is attire for whirling, praying, laughing, cuddling and lying under the stars. Inspired by the mysticism of Sufi tradition, the colors of Moroccan souks (markets), and the poetry of Rumi, this aesthetic invites you to embody softness, grace, and presence. Sufi Fest brings together the sacred and the ecstatic through the ancient and the now.
Think: Loose, flowing garments like kaftans, robes, wide-leg pants, and draped shawls—clothes that move with your body and spirit. Natural fibers or and light earthy tones—beige, white, light tones—with accents, touches of gold or jewel tones. Scarves, and headwraps are welcome additions, or accessories that make you feel adorned. Come dressed for devotion, delight and ease.

Saturday
Day & Night:
Late ’60s Love Fest
Channel the golden glow of Woodstock, the psychedelia of the Summer of Love, and the radical spirit of the late ’60s. Love Fest is a swirl of music, movement, ritual, and radiant connection—where incense meets glitter, jam sessions are spontaneous, and barefoot dancing flows into candlelit prayers.
Think: swirling fabrics, flower power, West meets Eastern spirituality, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Beatles in India, Sgt. Pepper’s technicolor dream, The Rolling Stones, The Grateful Dead, and the wide-open heart of 1969. Weird is welcome and love is the honored guest.
